Content Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
Our products are personalised by you — with your text, photos and designs — and made to order. Because each item is produced and shipped without manual review of every order, we ask everyone to keep personalisation lawful and respectful. This policy explains what you may not order, the rights you must hold over what you upload, how we screen orders, and how to report a product. It sits alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. What you must not order
You may not use any personalisation field (engraving, text, captions, names) or uploaded image to create content that:
- Is hateful or discriminatory — racial slurs, or content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, age, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
- Threatens or incites violence — threats of harm or death, or content that encourages or glorifies violence against a person or group.
- Harasses or bullies — content designed to intimidate, humiliate, alarm, or target an individual.
- Is sexual or pornographic — sexually explicit imagery or text, or nudity.
- Sexualises or endangers minors — any sexual content involving, or depicting, anyone under 18. This is never permitted and is reported to the authorities.
- Impersonates others— using a person's photo, name or likeness without their consent.
- Infringes intellectual property— copyrighted characters, logos, brands or artwork you don't have the right to use.
- Is illegal, deceptive or harmful — fraud, scams, or anything that breaks the law.
2. Images and text you upload
When you upload a photo, design or text for personalisation, you confirm that:
- you own it or have permissionto use it, and it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trade mark or other rights;
- if a real person is identifiablein a photo, you have their permission to use their image — and a parent or guardian's permission for anyone under 18;
- you grant us the licence we need to reproduce that content on your product and to fulfil your order.
Only upload photos you have the right to use. If you're not sure you have permission, please don't upload it.
3. How we keep orders safe
- Text screening.Personalisation text is automatically screened at checkout. Wording that breaches this policy is blocked and you'll be asked to edit it before you can order.
- Review. We may review any order before production and may refuse or cancel an order that breaches this policy.
- Reporting. Anyone can report a product to us (see below) and we review every report.
No automated screen is perfect. If something gets through, please report it — that's the fastest way for us to act.
4. How to report
If you've seen or received one of our products that's offensive, threatening, infringes your rights, or otherwise breaks this policy, email hello@keepitwhat.com with the order number (if you have it) and what's wrong. For intellectual-property complaints, use the subject line "IP infringement" and include the work you say has been infringed, a link or photo, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised.
If you feel threatened or believe a crime has been committed, please also contact the police. In an emergency, call 999 (UK).
5. Consequences of breaching this policy
Depending on the severity, breaching this policy may mean an order is refused or cancelled, a refund withheld, and — where the law requires — a report to the relevant authorities. We keep records associated with the account and payment used to place an order and will cooperate with the police where the law requires or permits, in line with our Privacy Policy.
