From photograph to ceramic

A custom tile is the right answer when you want something that feels more considered than a canvas print and more personal than a framed photograph. Upload an image from your phone, choose one of our artistic styles — Delft Blue monochrome, fine line sketch, watercolour wash, or a full-colour photographic finish — and we'll prepare the artwork, UV-print it onto ceramic, and dispatch it from our United Kingdom workshop.

Photo requirements

We ask for a minimum of 1200 × 1200 pixels, JPEG or PNG, under 10 MB. The best results come from well-lit photographs with a clear subject and some separation from the background — a person standing against a plain wall, a pet in a garden, a house shot straight-on. Screenshots and heavily filtered Instagram exports tend to struggle, especially in the sketch styles. If your photo isn't quite up to it our design team will email you before printing, rather than delivering something disappointing.

Sizing and the process

Custom tiles are available as single 150mm × 150mm pieces, a 300mm × 300mm four-tile grid, and a 450mm × 300mm six-tile landscape arrangement. Once you upload, our team cleans up the artwork (crop, exposure, background tidy), sends a digital proof within 24–48 hours, and only prints once you've approved it. Total turnaround is typically 5–7 working days from approval.

Wedding gifts are the single most common request — usually the venue, the couple, or a candid shot from the day rendered in Delft Blue for a timeless feel. Pet memorials are next: a portrait of a dog or cat that's no longer with the family, kept in the kitchen where they used to sit. Durability and UK delivery

The UV-cured ink bonds into the glaze rather than sitting on top of it, so the print won't scratch off or fade in direct sunlight. Tiles are suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and conservatories, and can be wiped clean with a soft cloth. All pieces are made to order in the UK with free tracked delivery on orders over £75, or £4.95 on smaller orders, once the proof is approved.
