Personalised gifts don't sit on a shelf waiting to be picked. Every order is made from scratch, which adds a short production stage before anything reaches a courier, so if you plan around delivery time alone you will be late.

Here is how the timings work, and the dates to work backwards from.

The Two Stages That Make Up Your Delivery Date

Every order has two separate clocks running one after the other.

Stage one: production, 1-2 business days. This is where your item is actually made: the engraving is cut, the photo is printed, the plaque is assembled. Nothing ships during this window.

Stage two: delivery, 3-5 business days from dispatch. Standard delivery is the only UK service we offer. There is no express tier, no next-day upgrade and no Saturday service, so this window cannot be shortened by paying more.

Added together, a realistic order-to-doorstep window is 4 to 7 business days. Business days matter here: weekends do not count toward either stage.

Your 2026 Christmas Deadlines

Christmas Day 2026 falls on a Friday. Working backwards using the 4-7 business day window, and treating 25 December as the day it needs to be in someone's hands:

The 16 December date is the one to actually use. The 18 December date only works if production takes one day instead of two and delivery arrives on day three instead of day five. That does happen, but don't bet a main present on it.

Every timeframe above is an estimate from the date of dispatch, not the date of order, and courier networks are at their busiest in the fortnight before Christmas. Ordering earlier is the only real insurance.

Why Ordering in September Is Not Ridiculous

It sounds absurdly early, but it is the easiest way to get a better gift.

Personalised gifts need something from you before they can be made: a photo, a date, a name spelled correctly, a song. In December, people pick whatever photo is nearest the top of their camera roll. In September, there is time to find the good one, ask a sibling for the picture from the wedding, or check how someone actually spells their middle name.

A gift with the right personalisation beats one that simply arrived quickly.

Choosing Something That Suits the Deadline You Have Left

If you are reading this in December, the practical question is what still fits the window.

With under a week to spare, stick to items with straightforward personalisation: custom golf balls from £4.99, printed bamboo tees at £5.99, or a printed ball marker coin at £15.99. Text-based personalisation is the quickest to get right.
With a week or more, photo gifts open up. A 25mm photo block or a music plaque needs a decent image, and finding one takes longer than people expect.
With two weeks or more, you can choose anything in the range, including engraved wedges at £184.99, where you want time to get the engraving text exactly right.

A Note on Getting It Wrong

Because everything is made to order and personalised, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds on personalised items. If something arrives damaged or defective, contact us with photos and we will replace it or refund it in full. A change of mind, or a name spelled the way it was submitted, is not something that can be unpicked once it has been engraved.

That is the strongest argument for ordering early: it gives you time to check the details before they become permanent.
