New in the Workshop: What Our Roland MO-240 Changes for Golf Ball and Acrylic Orders

We have installed a Roland MO-240 UV printer. It prints 108 golf balls in under ten minutes and an A2 cast-acrylic panel in under thirty. Here is what that changes for orders, and what it does not.
We have added a Roland MO-240 UV printer to the workshop. It prints directly onto objects and flat panels, and it is quick: 108 golf balls in under ten minutes, and an A2 HD cast-acrylic panel in under thirty minutes.
That speed matters most for the orders that used to take longest to get through the printer: a nine-dozen golf day order, a club's competition prizes, or a photographer's run of large acrylic prints. This post explains what the machine does, what it changes and, just as importantly, what it does not change.
What the MO-240 Is
It is a UV flatbed printer. Ink is cured by ultraviolet light as it lands, so it sits on the surface fully hardened rather than soaking in or needing to dry. That is why the same machine can print a dimpled golf ball, a slate coaster or a sheet of clear acrylic. We covered the difference between this kind of printing and laser engraving in engraving vs UV printing.
What it adds over our existing setup is capacity. A full tray of balls goes through in one pass instead of several, and A2 is now a single print rather than a stretch.
What It Changes for Golf Orders
A tray of 108 balls is nine dozen, which is the size of a typical company golf day or club open. Printing that many in under ten minutes means a large order no longer has to wait its turn behind a day of smaller ones.
If you are organising one, the Corporate Golf Ball Bundle is the place to start. It runs from 4 to 15 dozen, and you design one ball that is printed on every ball in the order. The logo printing is included in the per-dozen price rather than added on top. Nine dozen Srixon AD333s, for example, comes to £19.99 a dozen. The price falls as the quantity rises, and every brand on the bundle (Srixon, TaylorMade, Callaway and Titleist) has its own tier table.
For prizes, the Golf Trophy Block is printed on the same machine, edge to edge on 25mm acrylic, from £19.99 for 100x100mm to £39.99 for 200x150mm. Unprinted areas stay clear, so the artwork appears to float.
Societies, clubs and companies can also go through our branded gifts page for a quote on mixed orders of balls, tees, ball markers and engraved wedges. Our personalised golf gifts section covers the full retail range.
What It Changes for Acrylic
A2 is 420 x 594mm, roughly the size of a large window poster. Printing at that size used to be the slow end of our work. Now it takes under half an hour per panel, and that opens up something new for us: trade printing for photographers, illustrators and galleries who sell their own work but don't have an acrylic printer.
If that describes you, our trade printing page explains how it works. We print in A4, A3 and A2 from your own files, with trade pricing on request. We have also written a longer guide on acrylic prints for photographers and artists.
What It Does Not Change
A faster printer shortens one step, not the whole order. Every personalised order still has its design checked before it prints, then after printing it is inspected and packed. Our production window stays at 1-4 working days, and UK delivery is a further 1-3 working days after dispatch.
What changes is that a large order is now much more likely to land at the quick end of that window rather than the slow end. If you have a fixed date, such as a golf day or an exhibition opening, tell us when you order and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.
Standard UK delivery is £4.95, or free on orders over £75. Standard delivery is our only UK service.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How fast can you print golf balls now? A: The MO-240 prints 108 balls, nine dozen, in under ten minutes. Production on a personalised order is still 1-4 working days in total, because each order is checked before printing and inspected and packed afterwards.
Q: What is the largest acrylic print you can make? A: A2, which is 420 x 594mm, on cast acrylic. An A2 panel takes under thirty minutes to print.
Q: Do you print acrylic for photographers and artists? A: Yes. We print A4, A3 and A2 cast acrylic from your own files, with trade pricing on request. See our trade printing page.
Q: Is the logo included in the corporate golf ball price? A: Yes. The Corporate Golf Ball Bundle's per-dozen prices include printing one design on every ball.
Q: Can you guarantee delivery for a golf day? A: Tell us the date when you order. Production is 1-4 working days and UK delivery is 1-3 working days after dispatch. We'll confirm whether your date works before you commit.
