Custom Golf Balls Compared: Titleist vs TaylorMade vs Callaway vs Srixon

Custom Golf Balls Compared: Titleist vs TaylorMade vs Callaway vs Srixon

Custom golf balls are the easiest personalised golf gift to get right. Every golfer uses them, every golfer loses them, and every golfer appreciates having their name on the ball so there is never a debate about whose shot that was on the 14th fairway.

We carry seven different custom golf ball options across four major brands, from budget-friendly £4.99 sleeves to tour-level £11.99 premium balls. This guide breaks down every option by performance level, price, and who they suit best.

Tour-Level Performance

These are the balls the professionals play, with the most spin, the best feel and the highest price.

Custom Golf Balls - Titleist Pro V1 — £10.99

The Pro V1 is the most played ball on professional tours worldwide. It has a consistent flight, plenty of short game spin and a soft feel that serious golfers like. If the recipient is particular about their golf ball, this is the safe choice, because very few golfers would be disappointed to get a Pro V1.

At £10.99 for a personalised sleeve, it's at the premium end, but these are balls golfers seek out and pay full price for anyway. Adding personalisation turns something they'd buy regardless into a gift.

Custom Golf Balls - TaylorMade TP5x — £11.99

The TP5x is TaylorMade's top-tier ball. Its five-layer construction gives high launch with low spin off the driver for distance, along with good greenside control. Golfers who prefer a slightly firmer feel than the Pro V1 often gravitate here.

Custom Golf Balls - TaylorMade TP5x Stripe — £11.99

The same TP5x performance with TaylorMade's alignment stripe, a visual aid that helps line up putts. Golfers who already use the stripe version will be glad to get a personalised version of a ball they trust.

Custom Golf Balls - Callaway Chrome Tour — £11.99

Callaway's flagship tour ball is designed for golfers who want tour-level spin and control, with a focus on consistency. The Chrome Tour has been picked up by more tour players in recent seasons and is a real alternative to the Pro V1 and TP5x.

Mid-Range Value

These balls suit most club golfers, who want a good ball without paying tour-ball prices.

Custom Golf Balls - Callaway Supersoft — £6.99

Ultra-low compression makes the Supersoft the softest ball in our range, which means a gentle feel off the clubface and less side spin. For golfers who struggle with slicing or who simply prefer a soft feel, this is the one.

At £6.99, it is affordable enough to give generously, and a box of personalised Supersofts will get used every weekend.

Custom Golf Balls - TaylorMade Distance — £6.99

This one is built for distance. The two-piece construction prioritises low spin and high launch, which means longer drives, so it suits golfers who care more about getting down the fairway than finessing chips around the green.

It's the same £6.99 price as the Supersoft, and both are mid-range balls a club golfer will put straight into their bag.

Budget-Friendly

Custom Golf Balls - Srixon AD333 — £4.99

The most affordable custom golf ball in our range. The AD333 is Srixon's popular all-rounder, with decent distance, reasonable spin and a better feel than the price suggests. At £4.99 per personalised sleeve, this is the option for bulk gifts, stocking fillers, and golfers who lose more balls than they would like to admit.

The Fun Option

Dirty Dozen - 12 Unique Golf Balls — £40.00

Twelve completely different golf balls, each with its own personalised artwork. You'd buy this as a novelty gift for a golfer with a sense of humour, not for performance, and with a different design on every ball, each tee shot gives the group something to talk about.

At £40 for twelve unique balls, it's a premium novelty gift for birthdays, retirements and anyone who enjoys golf without taking it too seriously.

Quick Comparison

What to Print on Them

Keep it short. Golf ball personalisation works best with:

• Name or initials: the most practical choice for identifying your ball
• A nickname: the one they use on the course
• A date: birthday, retirement, wedding
• A short message: "Happy 60th", "Best Man 2026"

Delivery and Returns

All golf balls are produced within 1-2 business days and shipped via standard delivery in 3-5 business days from dispatch. Standard delivery is free on orders over £75, or £4.95 for orders under that threshold.

As all products are personalised and printed to order, we are unable to offer refunds or returns. If your golf balls arrive damaged or defective, contact us with photos and we will replace them or issue a full refund.

Pick Their Brand, Add Their Name

If you know which ball they play, match the brand. If you do not know, the Titleist Pro V1 is the safest bet for serious golfers, and the Callaway Supersoft is the best all-rounder for everyone else. Add their name, and something they buy every month anyway becomes a gift.
